Former India batter Mohammad Kaif praised Vaibhav Sooryavanshi after he slammed 103(37) against SRH in IPL 2026, saying, "Sooryavanshi plays like he's in a gully game, fearless and free." Calling Sooryavanshi a "once-in-a-generation talent", Kaif added, "At just 15, he's making the best bowlers in IPL look ordinary...He even hit his first ball against Pat Cummins for a huge six."
