Congress leader Ashok Gehlot expressed regret over External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar's remark mocking Pakistan's attempt at mediation in the Middle East war, where he said, "India won’t act as a middleman or 'dalal' (broker) nation like Pakistan." Gehlot responded, "What does 'brokerage' even mean? Perhaps it was a slip of...tongue, if so, that's different, and he should feel sorry."
