After Italy's Jannik Sinner defeated four American tennis players in the US Open 2024, 1996 Australian Open semi-finalist Chanda Rubin jokingly said Sinner should not be allowed in the US. Chanda's reaction came in response to commentator Steve Weissman's remark, saying, "I think we're going to have to deport Sinner." Sinner defeated USA's Taylor Fritz in the men's singles final.
