France head coach Didier Deschamps will miss his side's final FIFA World Cup 2026 group-stage match against Norway after returning to France following the death of his mother. Assistant coach Guy Stéphan will take temporary charge for the match against Norway in Massachusetts, the French Football Federation said. France have qualified for knockout stage after victories over Senegal and Iraq.
