Health risks posed due to increasing global temperature

In 2023, Earth experienced its hottest year on record, nearing the critical 1.5°C threshold with intensifying heatwaves, droughts and wildfires. Copernicus Climate Change Service reported a 1.48°C rise above preindustrial levels, exceeding the 1°C mark for the entire year. From heat-related illnesses to vector-borne diseases and others, increasing temperatures pose serious threats to human health.
