Heatwaves may speed up the ageing process in people: Study

Long-term exposure to heatwaves might accelerate ageing in people, according to a study published in journal Nature. Researchers found that individuals exposed to four additional heatwave days over a two-year period aged biologically by around nine days. The study revealed that manual workers, who spend more time outdoors, were strongly affected, with their biological age increasing by 33 days.
