Heavy overnight rainfall in Assam's Guwahati triggered widespread waterlogging, leading to traffic jams, stranded vehicles and difficulties for commuters on Monday. Assam government ordered government and private educational institutions in Guwahati Municipal Corporation area to remain closed on Monday due to heavy rain. "People are facing serious difficulties in going to work," a resident said.
