Heavy rainfall and thunderstorm warning issued for several states, list released

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued heavy rainfall warning for Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Karnataka and Uttarakhand for Monday (September 28). Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds of 40-50 kmph are very likely over parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
