Heavy rains & thunderstorm expected in Pune, orange alert issued

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Pune for Monday and warned of "heavy to very heavy rainfall in the region". "Thunderstorm with lightning and gusty winds (50-60 kmph) at isolated places," IMD said. "Moderate flash flood risk likely over a few watersheds and neighbourhoods in several districts of Maharashtra, including Pune," the weather department added.
