Heavy rains double Karnataka dam storage in just 5 days
Heavy rainfall over the past five days has nearly doubled water storage in Karnataka's 22 major reservoirs, easing drought concerns. Total storage increased from 66.62 TMC to 117.53 TMC, while strong inflows raised water levels in key dams, including KRS, Almatti, Hemavathi and Bhadra. The surge is expected to improve irrigation and water availability across the state.
