Heavy showers lash Chikkamagaluru after dry spell in Karnataka

Chikkamagaluru’s Malnad region received heavy showers after a prolonged dry spell, bringing relief to farmers. Rain was recorded in Sringeri, NR Pura, Mudigere, Kalasa and Koppa, while Chikkamagaluru city also witnessed continuous rainfall. The showers have caused waterlogging on roads and revived canals that had dried up. Coffee, pepper and areca nut growers welcomed the much-needed rainfall.
