High Courts can quash domestic violence act cases: Supreme Court

The Supreme Court held that High Courts can exercise power under Section 482 of the CrPC for quashing the proceedings emanating from an application under Section 12(1) of the DV Act pending before a Magistrate. The Court allowed the Appeal challenging the Order of the High Court, which dismissed the prayer to quash proceedings under the said Act.
