High-dose statins cut artery risk post-stent: Study

A new study in the European Heart Journal shows that high-dose statins greatly reduce the risk of neo-atherosclerosis plaque buildup inside stents three years after PCI. The findings suggest that aggressive cholesterol-lowering therapy has a stronger effect on long-term artery health than choosing between different stent designs.
