High estrogen in body during pregnancy can cause forgetfulness: Study
A study published in 'Science Bulletin' found high estrogen in the body during late stages of pregnancy can lead to forgetfulness. High estrogen increases activity in hypothalamus, which acts as a control centre, and suppresses activity in hippocampus, which is central to memory formation. Researchers added that it is not serious and does not represent cognitive decline but affects confidence.
