High-level team to probe cheetah's death from firearm injuries in MP

The Centre has deputed a high-level team to investigate the death of a 19-month-old male cheetah at Madhya Pradesh's Kuno National Park after it suffered firearm pellet injuries. Five firearm pellets were recovered from the cheetah's body, which was initially found injured on October 25. This is the country's first such incident since the launch of Project Cheetah in 2022.
