High temperatures trigger arms explosion at Iraqi military base

High temperatures caused a fire at an arms warehouse at Camp Taji, a major military base north of Baghdad, on Sunday, the Iraqi Defence Ministry said. "[The] warehouse [contained] ammunition belonging to the 9th armoured division...and some ammunition detonated due to the heat," it added. The camp had previously hosted troops from a US-led anti-Islamic State coalition.
