Higher BMI during adolescence linked to faster biological ageing later in life: Study
A study by Finland's University of Jyväskylä found that adolescents with a higher body mass index (BMI) may experience faster biological ageing in adulthood than others. "This could increase their risk of developing obesity-related diseases later in life, as well as premature death," a researcher said. Notably, biological ageing does not always progress at the same rate as chronological age.
