Highly speculative to say COVID-19 did not emerge in China: WHO

World Health Organisation's top emergency expert Mike Ryan has said, "It's highly speculative for us [WHO] to say that the disease did not emerge in China." The first case of coronavirus was identified in a food market in Wuhan in December last year. Meanwhile, Chinese state media reported that the virus existed abroad before it was discovered in Wuhan.
