High-power microwave system excels in U.S. Air Force's field test

RTX's CHIMERA high-power microwave weapon underwent a successful three-week field test at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico. During the test, CHIMERA demonstrated end-to-end fire control by acquiring and tracking aerial targets, and maintained tracking for the entire flight path. Directed energy was applied to multiple static target variations during the test.
