Hijab for Muslims is like Hindus' mangalsutra, Sikhs' turban: Cong MP

Amid the hijab controversy in Karnataka, Kerala Congress MP TN Prathapan raised the issue in Lok Sabha and said that hijab for Muslims is like mangalsutra for Hindus, crucifix for Christians and turban for Sikhs. "We cannot lose our diversity. I request the Education Minister to interfere in this issue to protect the constitutional rights of these girls," Prathapan added.
