Himachal CM orders removal of caste column from school forms

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Wednesday ordered the caste column to be removed from the admission forms in schools from the next academic session. "We are looking to curb casteism from the grassroots...No child should be identified by their caste in schools," he said. Students from SC community will be required to furnish details for availing benefits.
