Himachal culled apple procurement falls to lowest level in decade

Procurement of culled apples under the Market Intervention Scheme has declined sharply this year, with around 10,000 MT procured so far against nearly 1 lakh MT last year. Procurement is unlikely to rise significantly, making this the lowest MIS procurement in Himachal Pradesh in the past decade. According to HPMC, around 18,000 growers have registered for MIS procurement this year.
