Himachal doctors go on strike after Shimla doctor fired for assault

Doctors across several government hospitals in Himachal Pradesh have gone on indefinite strike, protesting against termination of Dr Raghav Nirula, who was accused of assaulting a patient. Resident Doctors' Association announced that routine services would remain closed, while emergency services would continue. CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu assured action against mob that allegedly threatened doctor.
