Himachal govt charging fee from Churdhar devotees, allege locals

Locals in Himachal Pradesh have alleged that a "user charge" has been imposed by the Congress-led state government on people going to Churdhar valley in Sirmaur district, where there's an ancient temple. The locals claimed that a tax ranging between ₹20-₹1000 is being collected. Officials, however, said the user charge is imposed only on trekkers visiting the Churdhar Wildlife Sanctuary.
