Himachal labourer's son gets ₹3.5 cr grant to make drone for Army

Sarvesh Sharma, a labourer's son from Himachal Pradesh, has received a ₹3.5-crore grant from the Defence Ministry to develop the indigenous Rudra Edge T-1 (Spectra) drone for the Indian Army. The drone is designed to evade enemy radar and resist electronic jamming, and improve border surveillance. Sharma had built its initial prototype at home for around ₹87,000.
