Himachal launches Shimla to Chandigarh heli-taxi service

Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has launched helicopter taxi services from Shimla's Sanjauli heliport, connecting the capital to Kullu and Kinnaur daily. Operated under the UDAN scheme, one-way fares start at ₹3,169. A tri-weekly service to Chandigarh begins January 27. The project aims to boost tourism and facilitate emergency medical evacuations.
