Himachal Pradesh becomes 4th fully literate state in India
Himachal Pradesh has become the fourth fully literate state under the ULLAS (Understanding of Lifelong Learning for All in Society) scheme. Tripura, Mizoram, and Goa precede Himachal. Under ULLAS, a state is considered fully literate when at least 95% of its population above 15 years can read, write, and perform basic numeracy. Himachal has achieved a literacy rate of 99.30%.
