Himachal resident keeps traditional shawl-weaving craft alive

Ram Lal, a resident of Darati village in Palampur, Himachal Pradesh, has spent over three decades preserving the traditional art of shawl weaving, mostly Kullu and Kinnauri designs. According to him, handwoven shawls fetch between ₹14,000 and ₹15,000 in the market due to the craftsmanship involved.
