Himalayan black bear enters Sikkim Raj Bhavan premises, rescued

A Himalayan black bear entered Raj Bhavan premises in Sikkim's Gangtok on Thursday. The bear was hiding under a culvert and was rescued after an operation that lasted for hours. Officials said the bear ate chickens at the staff quarters of the complex, causing panic among people present there, the officials added.
