Himalayan Monal lifestyle changing due to rising human activity: Research

Two studies in Uttarakhand found the Himalayan Monal's lifestyle is changing due to rising human activity and warming temperatures. It has begun raising its pitch to communicate amid heavy traffic and tourist activity. Suitable cold habitat for them is decreasing due to rising temperatures and pushing them into separate groups, leading to risk of reduced breeding and gradual population decline.
