Himani, snow leopard who helped protect her species, dies after cancer at 17

Himani, the snow leopard that gave birth to seven cubs, has died at 17 years old, a New Jersey zoo said. Himani, who helped protect her species, was "peacefully euthanised following a battle with cancer". Himani was born in June 2003 and came to the Cape May County Zoo in 2009, where she was paired with male snow leopard Vijay.
