Hindu temples in B'desh get threat letters demanding money ahead of Durga Puja
Several Durga Puja celebration committee members in Bangladesh have received anonymous threat letters demanding up to Tk 5 lakh (around ₹3.5 lakh), Bangladesh's daily newspaper Daily Star has said. The letters reportedly said the temples won't be allowed to celebrate Durga Puja if the money isn't paid. The committees' leaders were also warned of 'severe consequences' if they don't pay.
