Hindustan Zinc shares fall 3% as silver prices drop by 11%

The shares of Hindustan Zinc fell nearly 3% on Monday as silver prices declined after a sharp surge. Silver initially surged to a new peak of ₹2,54,174 per kg in futures trading with March expiry on MCX before prices fell as much as 10.8% to ₹2,26,560 per kg as of 8 pm on Monday. Hindustan Zinc shares closed at ₹618.5.
