His role has to be defined: Santos after dropping Ronaldo for WC match

Discussing his decision to drop Cristiano Ronaldo for Portugal's 2022 FIFA World Cup round of 16 match against Switzerland, Portugal manager Fernando Santos said, "[His future role's]...something which has to be defined." Santos added it was a strategic call to drop Ronaldo. Ronaldo did not start a match for Portugal at a major tournament for the first time since 2008.
