Historic Banganga Tank's steps damaged by JCB, BMC contractor blacklisted

Maharashtra minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha has blacklisted a Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) contractor after the steps at Mumbai's 11th-century Banganga Tank were damaged by a JCB during desilting work. He also directed police to file an FIR and said that the repair work would be completed within 72 hours. Moreover, he ordered the civic body to investigate the incident.
