Hizb-ul-Mujahideen's narco terrorist 'Shera' arrested after extradition from Portugal

After successful extradition from Portugal, NIA arrested fugitive Iqbal Singh alias Shera at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. Singh masterminded a Punjab-based network smuggling heroin from Pakistan and channelled drug proceeds via hawala to Hizb-ul-Mujahideen operatives in Kashmir for terror activities. He fled to Portugal in 2020 after a non-bailable warrant was issued against him.
