Hockey captain Manpreet marries Malaysian girlfriend of Pakistan descent Illi

Indian men's hockey team captain Manpreet Singh married his longtime girlfriend Illi Najwa Saddique in Mithapur village in Punjab's Jalandhar on Wednesday. Manpreet had been dating Illi, who is a Malaysian national of Pakistan descent, for more than eight years. Illi, who has been given a Punjabi name 'Navpreet Kaur', was working in a private university in Malaysia.
