Holiday declared for Mumbai schools, colleges due to rains

Maharashtra Minister Vinod Tawde on Monday announced a precautionary holiday for the schools and colleges in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region for the safety of the students. He added that heavy rains have been predicted and advised everyone to stay safe. South Mumbai recorded 51.4 mm rain between 8:30 am and 11:30 am, while the suburbs recorded 39.6 mm.
