Holiday declared on July 6 for all Mumbai schools & colleges amid orange alert

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has declared a holiday for all government, municipal, and private schools and colleges in Mumbai on July 6. The announcement came after the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert for heavy rainfall and gusty winds as the monsoon intensified. The BMC also urged citizens to avoid venturing out unless absolutely necessary.
