Holiday declared on July 7 for all Mumbai schools & colleges amid heavy rains

Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has declared a holiday for all government, municipal and private schools and colleges in Mumbai on July 7 for the safety of the students after the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert. IMD forecasts extremely heavy rainfall and gusty winds on Tuesday. BMC also appealed to citizens to avoid going outdoors unless necessary.
