Holm, who played Bilbo Baggins in 'Lord of the Rings', dies at 88

Actor Ian Holm, known for playing Bilbo Baggins in 'The Lord of the Rings' franchise, passed away aged 88. "He died peacefully in hospital, with his family and carer," Ian's agent told The Guardian, adding that his illness was Parkinson's related. Ian was nominated in the Best Supporting Actor category at Oscars in 1982 for film 'Chariots of Fire'.
