Homer's epic written before The Odyssey found inside 1,600-year-old mummy

Archaeologists have discovered a papyrus sheet placed on a 1,600-year-old Egyptian mummy's abdomen that contained text from the Iliad, the Greek poet Homer's account of the siege of Troy. Written around the 8th century BC, the epic predates The Odyssey. Researchers said this is the first known discovery of a major work of Greek literature found with a mummy.
