Honda to see first annual loss in 70 years, blames Trump's EV policy change

Honda expects to record a 2.5-trillion-yen (₹1.45 lakh crore) loss in FY26 as it winds down its EV business in the US. The company intends to suspend plans to produce three battery-powered models due to the "unfavourable impact" of US policy changes, referring to Donald Trump's administration pulling EV incentives. This will be Honda's first loss-making year in 70 years.
