With Team India needing 324 runs on the final day to win the Brisbane and clinch series 2-1, Dinesh Karthik tweeted that "hopefully" Team India will not need pacer Shardul Thakur to bat and save the match. Karthik also praised the 29-year-old for picking seven wickets in the match, three in Australia's first innings and four in second.
