Hospitals face blood shortage due to cyberattack that started in June in UK

Several UK hospitals are facing an unprecedented shortage of blood supplies due to a cyberattack on Synnovis, a testing services provider, since June. Hospitals imposed limits and urged people to donate blood. "We urgently need more O group donors to come forward and help boost stocks...The need for O-negative blood...remains critical," NHS Blood and Transplant Chief Executive Jo Farrar said.
