House gutted in fire after fridge short circuit in Kerala

A house belonging to Kumaramanagalath Subramanyan near Kurippoyil School in Kerala's Malappuram suffered massive damage after a fire reportedly started from a refrigerator. The blaze destroyed more than half the house, including the roof, two rooms, cash, gold, electrical appliances and important documents. A high-voltage surge was reported around the time the fire broke out on Friday afternoon.
