Housing society in Greater Noida fined ₹1 crore for water pollution

The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) imposed a fine of ₹1 crore on Supertech's Eco Village-1 society for dumping untreated sewerage into a rainwater drain in violation of norms. So far, this is the biggest penalty amount imposed by GNIDA for water pollution. The authority has asked the developer to remit the fine amount within a week, officials said.
