How a ₹150 investment became ₹3 lakh monthly turnover in mushrooms

Rama Kumari Pandey from Muzaffarpur, Bihar, ordered a kg of oyster mushroom spawns (seeds) online in 2021 for ₹120 and put them up in five bags in a room of her house, investing ₹150 in all. They yielded 12 kg of mushrooms. Today, Rama cultivates button, oyster and milky white mushrooms throughout the year and sells their spawns, clocking ₹3 lakh monthly turnover.
