How are points awarded in shooting at the Olympics?

Competitors shoot at a 10-ring target in qualifying during rifle and pistol events at Olympics, with points awarded based on accuracy while kneeling, prone and standing as per the event. The 10 rings are subdivided into 10 score zones, 10.0-10.9, in the final. Indian shooter Manu Bhaker won bronze in women's 10m Air Pistol final at the Paris Olympics 2024.
