How can Bar Council regulate law colleges, legal education: SC

The Supreme Court on Wednesday said it would examine if the Bar Council of India has the powers to regulate law colleges and universities. The court further said that the council's role comes into existence only after one gets a licence. "What do they know about legal education...they can lay down guidelines but cannot control," CJI Surya Kant said.
